Meet Kate

Hey there! I’m Kate, founder and photographer of KSP. I’m a wife to Joe and a foster mama to many. Together we have two puppers named Liberty (Libby) and Rogue (Roguey, don’t ask… it rhymed).

A few fun facts and get to know me things:

I love to garden and regularly come home with new house plants. You can catch me at the local farmer’s market just about every Saturday when it’s open, but don’t be surprised if you spot me with a donut and coffee in hand. Those are basically my love language.

Fostering is my cardio and I dedicate everything I have to not only loving the babies and kiddos that enter my home, but also their families. Don’t worry, there’s a whole lotta foster care posts coming your way in May.

Whenever we get the chance, we love to travel. It doesn’t have to be far, but I do love a good view and we’re so fortunate to live in a state with mountains and the coast so there’s never really a shortage of good views.

I used to blog regularly when my husband and I were dating/engaged. It gave me something to do while he was preparing for boot camp and while he was away. I’ve always enjoyed writing and there’s no better time to start again than in the middle of a quarantine. I’m calling this one a journal instead a blog, though, because I desire for this space to feel personal and authentic. I want to be vulnerable and share my heart and passions, but I also want to share the stories that I have the honor of preserving through photographs and imagery. You’re probably already figuring out that one of my passions is story-telling. 😉

I can’t wait to share this space with you!
